Palliative Care Nursing

Palliative care is specialized medical care that provides the best possible quality of life for patients with serious illness. This is mainly intended to provide relief from the symptoms and stress of the illness. The patients receive support and care from a team of doctors, nurses and other specialists who work together with a patient’s other doctors to provide an extra layer of support. They work specially for the patient’s needs and not based on their prognosis. It is not meant for an age group but for all who suffer from serious illness.
