Medical Surgical Nursing
Medical surgical nursing deals with various health issues and handles patients who are recovering from surgery. It is considered as the largest group of nursing professionals in the field. Long back, most of the hospital nurses were considered as a medical-surgical nurse, but today licensed medical-surgical nurses work in different positions, inpatient wards, critical care departments, administration, outpatient surgical wards, home nursing care, ambulatory surgical care, and skilled nursing homes. Some military medical-surgical nurses serve even on battlefields.
